The Manitoba government is seeking a Maintenance Resource Manager to join their operations in Brandon, MB.
Duties:
Reporting to the District Property Manager or designate, the Maintenance Resource Manager is responsible for the coordination and scheduling of trades staff to complete specialized maintenance, repair work and equipment installation efficiently and safely, with a minimum disruption to client programs in Government owned properties operated by District 3 in the Brandon area of operations, including Brandon, Boissevain, Virden, Minnedosa, Neepawa and Dauphin. This position maintains SAP maintenance management systems, coordinates data input, reports on maintenance programs, and performs varied administrative tasks such as attendance reporting, inventories, cost estimating and materials acquisitioning.

Qualifications:
Essential:
- Trades Journeyperson’s certificate with post-apprenticeship experience in a building maintenance environment. An equivalent combination of training and related experience in a building construction/maintenance environment may be considered.
- Experience with a variety of trades disciplines, such as plumber, electrician, carpenter, or refrigeration.
- Experience with building maintenance requirements including troubleshooting and life cycle evaluation.
- Knowledge of safe work practices, procedures and relevant safety policies and legislation.
- Knowledge of the Canadian National Building / Plumbing / Electrical / Fire code requirements.
- Experience supervising and managing tradespersons, including providing coaching, leadership and development.
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to work with various stakeholders.
- Ability to plan and prioritize various jobs and requests.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Experience with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Desired:
- Experience with plant maintenance software (such as SAP).
Conditions of Employment:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must be able to provide and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector check, Child and Adult about Registry checks and Enhanced Security Check
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver's licence and be capable of travel with overnight stays.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Must be capable of performing the required activities of the position, including working at heights, crouching, bending, working alone, in restricted areas, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, outdoors, exposure to chemicals, dusty air, noise levels, and capable of wearing personal protective equipment.
