Position Overview:
We are seeking Project Coordinator and Jr. Project Manager professionals to support the delivery of large-scale municipal infrastructure projects. Both roles are office-based and focused on the commercial and contract administration side of project delivery, managing RFIs, change orders, budgets, schedules, Traffic Control Plans, water commissioning, sewer bypassing, excess soil management, and client relationships. Our field superintendents handle day-to-day site operations; you manage the commercial terms that keep projects profitable and on track. You will work directly under our P.Eng Manager of Sales and Projects, on a team committed to developing talent internally and creating advancement opportunities for high performers.
Project Coordinator - Ideal Background:
Suited to candidates with 1 to 3 years of construction coordination, contract administration, or heavy civil experience, or recent CET graduates with a site or construction background.
Project Coordinator - Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordinate with clients, consulting engineers, and subcontractors on submittals, change requests, and project requirements
Assist in preparing and tracking RFQs, purchase orders, and change orders, and manage pricing workflows and approvals
Assist with the development, submittal, and day-to-day management of Traffic Control Plans, water commissioning procedures, sewer bypassing protocols, and excess soil management plans
Maintain accurate project records, including schedules, as-built drawings, daily reports, and site communications
Support invoicing, budget tracking, and financial reconciliation with Project Managers
Attend project meetings and communicate status updates across internal and external teams
Support the estimating team with quantity takeoffs, pricing, and small bid preparation from October to April (seasonal)
Project Coordinator - Qualifications & Experience:
1 to 3 years of experience in construction project coordination, contract administration, or heavy civil work
Recent CET graduates or equivalent construction backgrounds welcome
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Comfortable reading construction drawings, specifications, and municipal standards
A proactive communicator able to liaise effectively with clients, engineers, and field teams
Willingness to learn the estimating cycle during the off-season
Sewer or watermain experience is an asset but not required; we will invest in your development
Project Coordinator - Salary:
$70,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on experience and background.
Jr. Project Manager - Ideal Background:
Suited to candidates with 2 to 4 years of sewer/watermain, water, or heavy civil project coordination or Jr. PM experience.
Jr. Project Manager - Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead RFQ preparation and change order management, coordinating pricing and approvals with clients and subcontractors
Lead the development, submittal, day-to-day management, and close-out of Traffic Control Plans, water commissioning, sewer bypassing, and excess soil management plans
Own project documentation and record-keeping, including schedules, as-builts, progress reports, and communications
Manage invoicing, budget reconciliation, and financial tracking, and flag variances and cost-control issues
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and consulting engineers on contract and administrative matters
Coordinate with the field team and Project Manager on scope, schedule, and budget alignment
Lead estimating support from October to April, including takeoffs, pricing strategies, and bid development (seasonal)
Develop the competency to eventually manage the commercial side of multiple concurrent projects
Jr. Project Manager - Qualifications & Experience:
2 to 4 years of proven experience in project coordination or a Jr. PM role in sewer/watermain, water, or heavy civil construction
Solid understanding of RFI, change order, and contract administration workflows
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and municipal standards (OPSS, OPSD)
Strong communication skills, comfortable negotiating with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
Ready to deepen knowledge of project P&L, estimating, and bid strategy
Jr. Project Manager - Salary:
$85,000 to $105,000 annually, depending on experience and skill level.
