Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Lead (Evening Shift) is accountable to facilitate our day-to-day warehouse and distribution activities with a tight focus on employee supervision, customer service, cost savings and efficiency. The designated employee, among other assigned responsibilities, will perform the following principal tasks:
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Supervise (evening shift) inbound and outbound operations including Ferrero JIT.
- Responsible to prepare planned production orders in SAP as per product requirement set in the planner.
- To prepare label carts as per planned production order for Fage / IML lines.
- To co-ordinate with QA team on inbound inspection of the IML shipments.
- To initiate / execute on priority, in collaboration with JIT team, product sorting of the leaned / damaged pallets.
- Conduct Finished Product, Ferrero & Non-Ferrero, cycle count activity on monthly or ad-hoc basis.
- Daily warehouse inspection / housekeeping.
- Co-ordinate with Production Assistants / Forklift operators on any operational requirement by the Production Team Lead and Assistant Team Lead in the evening.
- As a backup of warehouse inventory associate must know how to key daily consumption activity including;
a) Capture daily product wise production numbers
b) Daily consumption of raw material and packaging material in SAP
c) Daily consumption of scrap material in SAP
d) Receipt of finished product into SAP
- Coordination with sales team for sales orders requirement and fulfillment, as a backup.
- Responsible for internal controls with reasonable assurances that evening shift operations are effective and efficient.
- Work actively to promote Gizeh Food Safety culture & have Audit Ready strategy.
- Maintain standard operating procedures and best practices.
- Ensure preventative and corrective actions are followed.
- Respond to customer concerns and queries, if any.
- Maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with entire warehouse team, as well as cross-functionally.
- Execute any other warehouse related tasks as assigned by Warehouse Manager.
Requirements:
- Completion of high school is required
- 3-5 years of experience in tool making
- 3-5 years of experience with plastic injection molding or plastic thermoforming machines
- Experience with and understanding of the injection moulding process for thin wall parts to collaborate on issues from production/quality.
- The ability to comfortably to flip and split 4 to 10000lbs moulds on the bench and in the press.
- The ability to be on your feet for 12 hours, climb in and out of machines, install cores/cavities into moulds while in the press.
- The ability to work under pressure and tight timelines
- Basic understanding of technical specifications and engineering drawings
- Ability to project steps, and complete tasks on a timely basis
- Ability to anticipate potential problems for correction based on experience
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
- Ability to work independently
- Strong written and oral communications skills and experience
QUALITFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience of warehousing and inventory control.SAP knowledge is a requirement.
- Computer skills such as Outlook, MS Word, and Excel are required
- Pro-active with strong problem-solving skills and analytical decision-making ability
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
- College Diploma in Materials Management is preferred. Equivalent experience/education will be considered
