Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/woman to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of carpentry, framing, forms and finishing work. This role requires a professional with a strong background in blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and the use of hand and power tools. As a Journeyman/woman, you will be responsible for executing complex projects with precision, ensuring safety standards are met, and delivering high-quality craftsmanship across diverse construction and restoration tasks.

Duties

Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide project execution.
Perform framing, forming, and building envelope.
Operate hand tools, power tools safely and efficiently.
Assist with construction estimating by assessing project scope and material needs.
Execute restoration projects involving woodwork, cabinetry, or structural repairs.
Manage heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols.
Follow schematics and technical instructions to ensure precise installation and assembly of components.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining quality standards.
Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all safety procedures are followed throughout each phase of work.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Journeyman/woman in construction environments.
Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings.
Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed.
Strong communication.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Valid construction experience across multiple trades; handyman experience is advantageous.
Ability to read schematics accurately and follow complex instructions reliably.
Strong commitment to safety standards and quality workmanship at all times.
