Job Summary
Danma Kitchen Cabinets Ltd. is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker/Assembler to join our production team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling kitchen cabinets and components while ensuring all products meet the company's quality standards. This hands-on role includes cabinet assembly, hardware installation, inspection, material handling, packaging, and other production and final preparation activities.
The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, good manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble kitchen cabinets and cabinet components according to production schedules and work orders.
- Follow assembly drawings, measurements, specifications, and instructions to ensure proper fit and functionality.
- Inspect materials and finished products for defects, inconsistencies, and quality issues.
- Ensure all cabinet components are properly aligned, securely fastened, square, and level.
- Install cabinet hardware and accessories, including hinges, drawer slides, and other components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and production equipment safely and effectively.
- Select and prepare materials according to order sheets and production requirements.
- Safely move and transport materials between workstations.
- Perform packaging and other final preparation activities as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment to support safe and efficient operation.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding production requirements or quality concerns.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in cabinet assembly, woodworking, manufacturing, finishing, or a similar production environment is preferred but not required.
- Experience assembling kitchen cabinets is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of cabinet hardware installation, including hinges, drawer slides, and accessories, is an asset.
- Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Basic understanding of quality control principles.
- Ability to read and follow instructions, assembly drawings, measurements, specifications, and work orders.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing production priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs regularly, and occasionally heavier items with assistance or appropriate lifting equipment.
- Perform repetitive movements, including bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling.
- Use hand tools, power tools, parts, and equipment with accuracy and precision.
- Maintain good hand-eye coordination while following safe operating procedures.
- Work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Work in an environment with exposure to sawdust, noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety footwear, eye protection, and hearing protection.

Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
