Full Job Description – Group Sales & Events Coordinator
Location: Wild Blue Restaurant, Whistler, BC
Reports To: General Manager

Key Responsibilities: Event Design & Execution
Lead the planning, organization, and execution of corporate functions, VIP gatherings, and luxury wine dinners.
Work closely with renowned chefs, sommeliers, and service teams to create unforgettable culinary experiences.
Using the event software Tripleseat, organise, communicate and collaborate with guests, clients and team members.
Oversee all event logistics: venue setup, catering coordination, audiovisual needs, and décor.
Ensure flawless execution—no detail is too small when it comes to perfection.
Sales & Client Relationship Management
Actively seek out and secure new business through networking, industry connections, and proactive outreach.
Build strong, lasting relationships with corporate clients, luxury brands, and event planners.
Develop customized proposals that align with clients’ high standards and Wild Blue’s prestigious reputation.
Event Marketing & Brand Growth
Collaborate with the marketing team to promote Wild Blue’s event offerings via social media, digital campaigns, and industry events.
Represent Wild Blue at high-profile networking events & trade shows to position our venue as Whistler’s go-to luxury event space.
Budgeting & Vendor Coordination
Manage event budgets to maximize profitability while maintaining world-class quality.
Negotiate and oversee partnerships with top-tier vendors, florists, A/V specialists, and more.
Post-Event Impact & Analysis
Conduct post-event evaluations to continuously refine and elevate future events.
Gather client testimonials and feedback to enhance Wild Blue’s event reputation.

Qualifications & Requirements
Experience:
2-3+ years in event planning, group sales, or hospitality sales—experience with luxury brands or high-end venues is a plus.
Proven track record of successfully selling, planning, and executing upscale events.
Skills & Abilities:
✔ Exceptional negotiation, sales, and relationship-building skills.
✔ Strong organizational abilities—managing multiple projects at once is second nature.
✔ Proficiency in event management software & Microsoft Office Suite.
✔ Ability to think creatively while ensuring flawless event execution.
Availability:
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
