Position Overview:

This is a high-impact, individual contributor role that sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and government funding.
You will lead the organization’s funding analysis and reporting (including CWELCC and other programs), while also driving budgeting and forecasting processes in partnership with senior leaders across the organization.
You will work closely with the senior leadership team (ALT) to translate financial information into clear, actionable insights that support decision-making.
This role directly supports programs that serve children and families in our community. By ensuring funding is well understood, optimized, and aligned with operations, you will help strengthen the organization’s financial sustainability and impact.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a high level of interest in working with the YMCA HBB as a charitable organization.
What You’ll Do:
Funding & Financial Analysis
- Lead funding analysis, reporting, and reconciliations for government programs (including CWELCC)
- Interpret funding guidelines and assess financial impacts across programs and regions
- Identify risks, variances, and opportunities related to funding
- Support and, over time, lead communication with external funders
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Coordinate and lead the annual budgeting process across departments
- Develop and maintain rolling forecasts
- Provide variance analysis and forward-looking insights to support decision-making
- Support scenario modeling and financial planning initiatives
Business Partnership
- Partner with leaders across the organization to support financial understanding and accountability
- Translate complex financial information into clear, practical insights
- Support operational decision-making with data-driven analysis
Project Management & Coordination
- Manage timelines and deliverables for:
- Budget cycles
- Forecast updates
- Funding submissions
- Coordinate inputs across multiple teams and ensure deadlines are met
Process Improvement
- Improve financial models, tools, and reporting processes
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and consistency in funding and planning workflow
What You’ll Bring:
- CPA designation
- 4–7+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a related field
- Experience with government funding, grants, or regulated environments is an asset
- Strong financial modeling and Excel skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial audiences
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
