KTI Utility Services is thrilled to announce a project in the Region of Halton area and are seeking several self-starting individuals to add to our radio installation team! If you consider yourself to be an independent worker with a great attitude who loves to interact with customers, then this job is for you!
The position requires a basic mechanical aptitude with a good attitude and great work ethic. If you like to work outside and want to get paid more for your installs, then this is the job for you! Your primary role will be to install new radio transmitters on the outside of homes and record the required data on a handheld device.
What’s in it for you?
- Full-time employment, 40hr/week average, with EI and CPP deductions
- Salary: Base of $21/HR -$44/HR + piece-rate bonuses
- Location: Halton, ON
- Contract Length: 4 months – 1 year (with the possibility of working on other projects)
- Schedule: Monday-Friday
- Business KMs paid at $0.68 per KM, paid monthly
- Paid vacation

What would your day look like as a Radio Installer with KTI?
- Install new transmitting devices to the outside of homes
- Record old and new water meter readings
- Enter work order data into a company-provided tablet
- Communicate updates to team members
- Any other duties which may be assigned to you from time to time by your manager
Who is our ideal candidate?
- Candidate who wants to be paid for the work they complete (i.e., the more you install = More pay)
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
- Mechanical aptitude
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Able to walk, stand on feet, bend or stoop for a prolonged period of time (100% outdoors)
- Able to work with minimal supervision
Mandatory Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license (G2 minimum) and a reliable vehicle (with valid insurance)
- Mandatory clean criminal background check and driver's abstract
