Licensed Insurance Agent:

We are actively searching for a Licensed Insurance Agent to help with our growth! Goose is transforming the insurance industry by giving North Americans easy access to personal lines of insurance through a mobile app. Products currently offered include Travel Insurance, Life and Accident and Sickness coverages (including Critical Illness, AD&D, Income Protection and more). We’re eliminating unnecessary complexities built into the sale of policies, making transactions clear, quick and convenient, enabling our customers to purchase on their phone or other mobile device in a matter of minutes.

Most of your day would be spent on the phone, calling leads, handling inbound calls, chats and emails. You never pressure customers into buying a policy, but you’re also not scared to ask for the sale. Dealing with a variety of customers, you tailor your interaction to the situation at hand. And if challenges arise during a call, you take ownership and find graceful ways to deal with them.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working 60% from our new downtown Vancouver office (and 40% remotely, if desired), you are the first and main point of contact for both potential and existing customers. As such, you have many important responsibilities, including:

Making outbound calls to customers who have received targeted marketing materials or who have completed quotes in the Goose app.

Handling inbound calls as well as online chat and email inquiries from customers in a prompt and professional manner.

Assessing customer needs, explaining coverages, confirming eligibility requirements, discussing exclusions, providing information & quotes, and ultimately selling policies

Helping customers make changes to their policies, and processing refund requests.

Maintaining your training and industry knowledge.

Assisting with training and developing future agents

Must have computer literacy, strong typing and internet navigation skills

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Your experience and education, combined with product and sales training we provide, helps ensure your success at Goose. For this role, you have:

At least 3 to 5 years of customer sales and service experience, preferably in a call centre environment and in management or team lead capacity.

At least 1 year of tenure with a recent employer.

A high school diploma and, preferably, some post-secondary education.

Ideally also have A&S or LLQP licence.
