The Opportunity
We are looking for a Housing Locator to join our Housing Team at CUPS.
The Housing Locator is responsible for sourcing and developing relationships with local landlords to participate in the CUPS Community Development and Graduated Rent Subsidy Programs. This role provides support to clients across two housing programs and requires strong time management and prioritization to balance competing client needs and advocacy. Through ongoing coaching and education, the role helps clients build the skills and confidence needed for more independent living, including understanding available housing options, navigating the Residential Tenancy Act, and learning strategies for locating and securing rental housing.
The Housing Locator works alongside clients to develop and practice practical housing skills, such as searching for market rental properties, communicating with landlords, completing rental applications, and attending property viewings.
