Overview
Our Client is seeking a skilled Network Specialist to support a large-scale network migration project. This role will focus on transitioning approximately 3,000–3,500 devices from a legacy Cisco architecture to a new network environment. The ideal candidate will have strong Cisco networking experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

Perform network device readdressing across multiple device types
Execute VLAN moves and reconfiguration activities
Validate device readiness and connectivity prior to migration
Contribute to and follow the project plan and migration schedule
Support migration of:
- ~3,000 Cisco access points
- Door access systems, cameras, and digital signage
Work within a complex environment including:
- Cisco Catalyst infrastructure
- Cisco Nexus core/data center (3 data centers: 2 on-site, 1 off-site)
- Distribution and edge networking layers
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors
Act as a technical representative, communicating on behalf of the organization with partners and vendors (e.g., camera and access control providers)
Assist with potential cutover activities from legacy to new network if project scope extends

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience with Cisco networking technologies (Catalyst, Nexus)
Strong understanding of:
- IP addressing and subnetting
- VLAN configuration and migration
- Network device deployment and validation
Experience working in large-scale network migrations
Ability to troubleshoot connectivity and configuration issues efficiently
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Comfortable working with remote collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams)
Experience with infrastructure supporting IoT devices (cameras, access control systems, signage)
Previous collaboration with third-party integrators or vendors
Experience in airport or large campus environments

Work Environment

Primarily remote role with minimal on-site requirements
Work scheduled in coordination with project timelines (including possible after-hours work)
Well-organized project management with clear planning and communication
