PK Sound is currently looking for a creative, self-starting Mechanical Engineer who is ready to learn and assist in the development of new products with passion and precision. You will contribute to the design and implementation of new PK loudspeaker products. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, prototype, and test new loudspeaker components and systems.
- Use SolidWorks to create 3D mechanical models, technical drawings (i.e., construction, assembly, and as-fitted drawings), and bills of materials, and procure samples for prototypes.
- Triage, solve, and optimize manufacturing quality and assembly processes.
- Collaborate with the acoustic engineering team to ensure mechanical designs meet sound quality and performance criteria.
- Analyze feedback to identify areas of improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring transparent communication with management and product managers.
- Ensure all designs and modifications are well-documented for future reference.
- Oversee comprehensive documentation, ensure industry standards compliance, and create user manuals.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 2-3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the audio or electronics manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for designing and simulating mechanical components.
- Experience in creating technical drawings for part manufacturing purposes.
- Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes, techniques, and machinery.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Meticulous attention to detail

- Strong analytical skills to identify and solve design and production challenges.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends and technologies.
Preference given to candidates with:
- Acoustical engineering knowledge.
- Knowledge of properties of materials used in loudspeakers.
- Experience with manufacturing processes like injection molding, die-casting, and CNC machining.
- Effective collaboration with electrical and acoustical engineers.
- Agile product development lifecycle experience (kanban, scrum).
EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Mechanical engineering degree preferred or related experience.
- 2-3 years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
- The ability to travel without restriction.
