Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our amazing culture in our Calgary location. In this role, you will provide project support for a variety of Talent Acquisition programs and processes with a direct focus on sourcing candidates. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you are a part of a dynamic team that allows you to grow as Convergint grows.

What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”

Sourcing candidates to fill open requisites using a variety of tools and processes.
Collaborates with HR Business Partners and Business Leaders to ensure efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the needs of the business.
Assists in the job posting and advertisement process.
Screens applicants and selects qualified candidates.
Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
Assists in interview process, attending and conducting interviews with Business Leaders and other stakeholders.
Collaborates with hiring managers, HR Business Partners and/or others during the offer letter process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other details.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
Coordinates, attends and participates in college job fairs, community career fairs as well as military partnerships.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

What You’ll Need

High level of organization and time management skills.
Excellent written communication skills.
Excellent computer skills required (good knowledge of Outlook, MS Word, PowerPoint and Publisher).
Excellent Excel skills.
Must have high level of discretion and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize.

Requirements:

Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience

Bachelors degree

Preferred Experience: (but not required):  

3+ years of relevant experience; previous experience in human resources
Certifications: Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification
