Prolific Sports House Job Description – Front Desk Receptionist

Front Desk Receptionist

Reports to: President

Location: Prolific Sports House South and North locations

Company Overview:

Prolific Sports House (“PSH”) is a brand new, membership based private sports training facility that will be the epicenter of high-level sports training, competition, and entertainment in the City of Calgary. We’re excited to build a unique sports training community that wants to push our members past their limits. PSH features 17,000 square feet of basketball/volleyball courts, cardio/fitness area, large relaxing viewing areas, entertainment for the kids, and an elite sports performance training area. Prolific is designed to produce and help athletes take their game to the next level while furthering their knowledge in their designated sports. We offer a variety of programs, drop in play, tournaments, classes, leagues, camps, and sports specific training for multi-sports.

Responsibilities:

Create a positive and non-judgmental environment where you can motivate and inspire every member to meet their goals when they arrive at Prolific
Meet our members needs when they arrive, while they work out and when they leave
Provide hands-on leadership, guidance, and assistance to our team members, manager, and guests
Complete weekly and biweekly administrative duties including implementation of value added incentives for our members, coordinate staff scheduling, and filling operational requests from team leads
Create social media flyers as well as create content for all platforms
Communicate with owner and complete assigned projects by designated deadline
Create/Support the scheduling of PSH facility, Trainers, Member Classes, and Fitness Instructors
Demonstrate personalized and professional customer service skills
Provide effective and professional communication to members and co-workers
Maintain safety standards, general maintenance, upkeep and tidiness of the facility
Handle immediate first aid needs
Educate and enforce PSH facility rules and code of conduct
Always maintain a professional appearance
Oversee day to day operations of the facility
Oversee and assist in setting up of equipment and coordination of special events

Qualifications:

1-2 years’ experience working as front desk receptionist, or similar experience
Athletic or recreational facility experience is an asset
You’re a high-energy individual who thrives in a competitive and dynamic environment
High School Diploma
Dash platform experience is an asset not a pre-requisite
Current certification CPR C (recertified within one year) and Standard First Aid (recertified within 2 years) – required within first 3 months of employment
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and assist with moving equipment
You have a “member first” service approach, are committed to communication, and are able to motivate others
You have a professional manner, an optimistic “can-do” approach, and are efficient when dealing with multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. You are passionate about producing results and your superior problem-solving skills enable you to respond to changing priorities
Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and registration software.
Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is an asset.
A proven track record working independently and in a team environment is an asset
