Lead Millwright – Construction & Installation
Build systems most millwrights never get the chance to touch.
If you’re a Journeyman Millwright who’s tired of repetitive plant maintenance or the same production line work day after day, this role will feel very different.
At Enerstrux, we design, fabricate, and install proprietary automated systems used in the post-harvest fresh produce industry. Our equipment supports major grocery chains and food distribution networks across North America.
This is hands-on, technically diverse work—combining fabrication, assembly, installation, and on-site leadership. Every project is custom-built, and no two installations are the same.
We’re looking for an experienced Millwright who wants more than just execution—someone who takes ownership of work, leads small crews in the field, and solves problems as they come up in real time.
Why join Enerstrux
Most millwright roles fall into one of two categories: shop work or plant maintenance.
This role is both—and more.
You’ll see full project lifecycle work
From in-shop fabrication and assembly through to final installation and commissioning, you’ll be involved from start to finish.
You’ll work on custom-built systems
Our equipment is not repetitive. Each project involves unique mechanical assemblies, integrated systems, and site-specific challenges that require real thinking—not just repetition.
You’ll lead in the field
You won’t just follow instructions. You’ll coordinate small crews, guide installation work, and take responsibility for getting projects delivered properly.
You’ll stay technically engaged
You’ll work across mechanical installation, alignment, troubleshooting, and field problem-solving in a fast-paced, construction-driven environment.
What you’ll be doing
As a Lead Millwright, you will play a key role in both shop-based fabrication and on-site installation of our systems.
Your responsibilities include:
- Leading installation of custom equipment and systems on-site
- Fabricating and assembling proprietary systems in our shop facility
- Reviewing drawings and planning work prior to execution
- Coordinating and guiding small crews in the field
- Troubleshooting mechanical and installation issues to maintain project momentum
- Ensuring work is completed to specification, safely, and on schedule
- Maintaining daily site documentation and reporting progress
- Identifying material, labour, and equipment requirements in advance
- Supporting a strong safety culture across all job sites
What we’re looking for
We’re not looking for someone who just completes tasks.
We’re looking for someone who understands how systems go together—and can lead others in the field.
- Journeyman Millwright certification
- 7+ years of industrial or commercial construction experience preferred
- 4+ years in a lead hand or supervisory role

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Required certifications: Working at Heights, WHMIS, Fall Arrest, Aerial Boom, Forklift

- Competitive compensation based on experience

- Full-time, permanent role
