Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and execute marketing strategies across various digital platforms, enhance brand visibility, and support sales growth.
The Collective is a growing, multi-division company that operates across multiple event venues, accommodation, and provides services ranging from wedding planning and transportation to florals and photography. We're also launching a brand new marketing agency for external clients - an exciting project you'll get to be a part of right from the start! We're looking for a creative marketing generalist who can help us connect with the right people and grow what we've built.
This is a rare role that spans design, social media, web, and copywriting, and we're genuinely open to the right combination of skills and personality over a rigid checklist. If you're a self-directed creative who thrives across multiple projects, we'd love to hear from you.
Duties
- Graphic Design: Creating on-brand assets across print and digital including flyers, posters, signage, magazine layouts, and advertising graphics. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign is ideal, along with a strong eye for layout and the ability to work within established brand guidelines.
- Social Media: Planning, producing, and executing social media content across all Collective brands, including Sevenfold, Mainspace, The Gem and more. This includes creating captions, graphics, and reels tailored to each platform, with scheduling and management across Meta, TikTok, and Pinterest. You will also monitor engagement metrics, track trends, place ads, and support community management across all channels.
- Web Design & Maintenance: Editing and updating our websites with an eye for design and user experience. We currently use Showit — experience with the platform is a bonus, but not required. What matters is that you understand how good websites are supposed to look & feel.
- Copy: Writing across a wide range of formats including email campaigns, newsletters, website copy, and marketing and sales materials. You'll also handle proofreading, editing, and cross-referencing. A strong grasp of brand voice and language is essential; we want writing that sounds like us, not like a template or AI.
Attributes
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate with other departments to align marketing efforts with sales objectives, brand growth and lead generation for each division.
- Efficient Communicator: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage your own time, and communicate clearly matters as much as your technical skills.
- Adaptive Problem-Solver: Ability to be resourceful, think creatively, pivot quickly, and confidently navigate a wide range of platforms, information, and competing projects.
Experience
- Demonstrated familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Illustrator) and Canva, with a varied portfolio of design projects including signage, vinyl, advertising, social media graphics and print materials.
- Proficiency with website editing and basic content management; familiarity with Showit is considered an asset, though not required.
- Proven ability to write compelling copy across newsletters, websites, ads, and email campaigns, with a strong command of grammar, spelling, and consistent styling.
- Good research skills with the ability to stay current on digital marketing trends.
About the Role
