Job Description

Relocation to Charlottetown Required

BIOVECTRA, now a part of Agilent, is recognized as a leader in the contract development and manufacturing space of active pharmaceutical ingredients specializing in clinical-to-commercial scale production for microbial fermentation, synthetic small molecules including ADC, HPAPI, plasmid DNA, mRNA, LNP and sterile filling capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Rotating Shift work. 12 hour shifts, two weeks of days followed by two weeks of nights
Operating and maintaining various stationary equipment, including boilers, chillers, air compressors, and HVAC systems
Monitoring and controlling all systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations during the shift
Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance of systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance
Troubleshooting and repairing equipment malfunctions as necessary to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations
Maintaining accurate logs of all system operations, maintenance activities, and repairs
Performing appropriate water tests on water systems
Ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
Collaborating with other departments, including maintenance, production, and engineering, to support operational goals
Responding to emergency situations, alarms, and system failures and take appropriate action to resolve issues
Assisting with equipment upgrades, installations, and modifications as needed
Ensuring the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with safety protocols

Qualifications

Required:

Minimum 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate
3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate preferred
Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar role: maintaining boilers, chillers, HVAC and PLC Systems

Desired:

Good oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of cGMP guidelines
Millwright, Electrical, Electro-mechanical or plumbing training
Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) knowledge

Additional Details

This job has a full time weekly schedule.

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $23.88 - $41.79/hr CAD plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
