Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support various accounting functions, including bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial analysis, PBS experience . This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in corporate finance and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic financial services environment. The Junior Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with audits, and supporting budgeting processes to ensure the integrity of our financial operations.

Responsibilities

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliation and account analysis, to verify data accuracy.
Support bookkeeping activities using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, and others.
Help prepare financial reports and assist with auditing procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Support payroll processing and related activities to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
Contribute to budgeting efforts by analyzing financial data and preparing relevant documentation.
Maintain organized records of financial transactions and documentation for audit purposes.
Collaborate with team members on special projects related to financial services and corporate finance initiatives.

Requirements

Proven experience or familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or PeopleSoft.
Basic understanding of bookkeeping, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis.
Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and auditing processes.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment and communicate clearly.
Prior experience or coursework in accounting or finance is preferred but not required.
Demonstrated proficiency in Excel or other spreadsheet applications for data analysis.
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.

Pay: $39,085.75-$64,709.01 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Thamesville, ON
