Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated HVAC Apprentice to join our team and gain hands-on experience in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to develop essential skills under the guidance of experienced technicians. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in mechanical systems, construction, and maintenance, with a focus on learning and growth within the HVAC industry.

Responsibilities

Assist senior technicians with installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems
Learn to read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams related to HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Support the troubleshooting of HVAC units, boilers, and appliances
Participate in the assembly and disassembly of mechanical components using welding and construction techniques
Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues with HVAC equipment and related systems
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety standards
Gain experience in working with mechanical tools, schematics, and various construction materials

Skills (bonus but will train)

Basic understanding of plumbing, welding, boiler operation, and mechanical systems
Familiarity with HVAC principles and maintenance practices
Mechanical knowledge related to appliances repair and general construction processes
Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately
Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks within the field of HVAC maintenance
Prior experience as a mechanic or in appliance repair is a plus but not required

Requirements: • Valid driver's license • Reliable transportation • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent • Willingness to learn and work as part of a team • Comfortable working in crawl spaces and attics • Able to climb ladders and perform physical work.

Small local family oriented HVAC company.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour

Work Location: On the road
