City Life Church is looking for a passionate and organized Kids Ministry Coordinator to help create exceptional Sunday experiences for children and families.
This role combines ministry, leadership, and administration. Working alongside the Associate Pastor and Ministries Director, you'll help ensure our children's ministry is well-prepared, volunteers are equipped, families feel welcomed, and every child experiences a safe, engaging, and Christ-centred environment.

About the Role
The Kids Ministry Coordinator provides leadership and coordination for the day-to-day operations of our Children's Ministry.
You'll oversee volunteer scheduling and communication, curriculum preparation, classroom readiness, ministry administration, and Sunday morning coordination. You'll also work closely with ministry leaders to continue building an environment where children can grow in their relationship with Jesus while families feel known and supported.
Key Responsibilities
Sunday Ministry Leadership
- Coordinate Children's Ministry environments each Sunday.
- Ensure classrooms are prepared, welcoming, and ready before families arrive.
- Support volunteers throughout the morning and help troubleshoot unexpected situations.
- Welcome new families and help children feel safe and connected.
Volunteer Leadership
- Coordinate volunteer schedules and weekly communication.
- Recruit, encourage, and support ministry volunteers.
- Help foster a healthy, positive volunteer culture.
- Ensure volunteers have the resources and information they need to serve confidently.
Ministry Administration
- Prepare curriculum, supplies, and classroom materials.
- Coordinate classroom resources, inventory, and ministry equipment.
- Maintain ministry records and administrative systems.
- Assist with planning ministry events, camps, and seasonal programs.
Ministry Development
- Partner with ministry leadership to strengthen Children's Ministry.
- Look for opportunities to improve systems, environments, and volunteer experience.
- Support ministry initiatives that help children and families become connected and engaged.

- Comfortable leading volunteers and building healthy teams.
- Able to anticipate needs and solve problems before they become issues.
- A self-starter who enjoys both ministry and administration.
Qualifications
- Experience serving in children's ministry, education, childcare, camps, or a related field.
- Experience coordinating volunteers or leading teams is an asset.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Comfortable using technology and planning tools.
- Bible college or ministry training is an asset but not required.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating well with others.
