Job description:
Are you a motivated, organized individual who is looking for an opportunity to work in a rapidly growing organization? If so, we want to hear from you!
Frontline Machinery is a family owned equipment dealership specializing in the sale and rental of equipment and parts for aggregate crushing and screening, wood grinding, waste shredding, and volumetric measuring technology. We cover from BC to Ontario, including the Yukon and NWT. We are looking for a WAREHOUSE & LOGISTICS MANAGER to join our team.
Based in our Chilliwack, BC location and reporting to the NATIONAL PARTS MANAGER, the role of the WAREHOUSE & LOGISTICS MANAGER is responsible for orchestrating all daily warehouse operations, ensuring work is prioritized correctly, completed to standard, and executed efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. This role provides hands‑on leadership to the warehouse and shipping/receiving teams while continuously improving layout, workflow, and storage efficiency.
This position owns how the warehouse functions — operationally, physically, and culturally. The successful candidate is a strong floor leader who thrives on managing competing priorities, enforcing standards, and developing people
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations & Workload Triage
- Actively manage and prioritize all warehouse activity throughout the day, including:
- Outbound shipping
- Picking, packing, and staging
- Urgent service and sales requests
- Continuously assess workload and reallocate resources in real time to ensure critical tasks are completed first
- Ensure daily throughput targets are met without compromising accuracy or safety
Warehouse Standards & Execution
- Define, communicate, and enforce standards for:
- Receiving accuracy and timeliness
- Put‑away and bin discipline
- Picking, packing, and shipping quality
- Housekeeping, organization, and safety
- Identify and correct deviations immediately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional warehouse and yard environment
Warehouse Layout, Flow & Space Optimization
- Own the physical layout and efficiency of the warehouse
- Design and maintain workflows that support fast receiving, put‑away, picking, and shipping
- Optimize storage space through improved racking, bin locations, staging areas, and space utilization
- Continuously assess and improve layout as volume, product mix, and containerized freight increase
- Identify bottlenecks and implement practical layout or process changes
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse and shipping/receiving staff
- Provide clear direction, expectations, and ongoing performance feedback
- Conduct regular check‑ins and formal performance reviews for direct reports
- Address performance issues early and escalate appropriately when required
- Foster a disciplined, accountable, and engaged team
Inventory & System Integrity
- Ensure physical movements align with system transactions
- Maintain accurate, timely receiving and inventory records
- Coordinate closely with Parts, Service, and Sales teams to prevent delays caused by warehouse execution issues
Qualifications & Experience
- 7+ years experience in warehouse or distribution operations, preferably in a fast‑paced industrial or parts environment
- Demonstrated experience managing daily operational triage and competing priorities
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing warehouse teams
- Strong understanding of warehouse layout design, material flow, and space optimization
- Experience handling containerized, LTL, and courier freight
- Comfortable working hands‑on on the warehouse floor when required
- Strong organizational, communication, and decision‑making skills
Who This Role Is Not For
This role is not a fit for someone who:
- Prefers a desk‑based or primarily administrative role
- Is uncomfortable making real‑time decisions and redirecting work throughout the day
- Avoids giving direct feedback or having performance conversations
- Waits for instruction rather than proactively identifying and solving problems
- Is satisfied with maintaining the status quo rather than improving how work is done
- Lacks experience leading warehouse staff in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
- Is resistant to changing layouts, processes, or long‑standing habits to improve efficiency
- Prefers a fixed task list over managing multiple competing priorities
- This position requires hands‑on leadership, decisiveness, and accountability. Success depends on owning outcomes, not just tasks.
Pay: $90,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
