The Town of Cochrane is seeking a highly organized, detail driven Project Administrator to provide essential administrative, financial, and coordination support to the Engineering Services department.

Your Impact
As a Project Administrator, you will be a central hub of coordination, communication, and documentation for the Capital Projects team. Your work ensures that project managers, engineers, contractors, and community members have the information, support and clarity they need for successful project delivery. You will strengthen project planning, maintain accurate financial and contract records, support departmental processes and provide exceptional customer service to both internal teams and the public.
Your work will include
- Assist with project planning, budget requests, internal reports, expenditure tracking, budget projections, risk reporting, and invoice coordination.
- Maintain accurate project records, filing systems and meeting minutes
- Support preparation of requests for proposal, contract documents and specifications, and provide document control and contract administration for construction projects.
- Serve as a central contact for internal and external inquiries, respond to public concerns and coordinate with internal departments.
- Review and update departmental processes, maintain process documentation, and assist with operating and capital budget tracking.
- Develop and maintain a records management system for electronic and hardcopy files and ensure agreement and contract compliance.
- Work closely in coordination with other Town departments including finance, procurement and communications.
- Schedule and organize meetings, coordinate information and data requests, and provide administrative support to the team.
- Monitor engineering project information on the Town website and coordinate updates.

Qualifications
Whether your background is in consulting, construction, or private sector project delivery, we encourage you to apply. Your skills are highly valued in our municipal environment.
- Completion of a post secondary program in the administrative profession, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Education in accounting, finance, project delivery, or project management is considered an asset.
- 3+ years of administrative experience in a project delivery environment.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service, problem solving, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, take direction, support multiple team members, and adapt to a changing pace and environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with a solid work ethic and commitment to high quality customer service.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
