Accounts Payable Administrator

Location: Pickering

Job Brief

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Administrator to join our Accounts Payable team at our Head Office in Pickering. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will work closely with employees and vendors to process invoices, respond to inquiries and help ensure payments are accurate and timely.

What We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate brings accounts payable experience, a strong customer-service mindset and intermediate to advanced Excel skills. You are organized, motivated and comfortable managing detailed work in a deadline-driven environment. Residential construction experience is an asset.

Position Responsibilities

Review, verify and enter invoices accurately for payment
Prepare, verify and distribute cheque and electronic payment runs
Process manual and other special payments as required
Maintain complete and organized invoice and payment records
Respond to vendor and internal inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Reconcile vendor statements and general ledger accounts
Support ad hoc projects and perform other related duties as assigned

Schedule

· Full-time

· Flexible hours, Monday to Friday

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum of one year of accounts payable experience; residential construction experience is preferred
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills; experience with BuilderLynx, Microsoft Dynamics, Timberline or NEWSTAR is an asset
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Excellent organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure
