Ruby Pub Trivia is looking for a friendly, outgoing and confident person to host weekly trivia events at one of our restaurant clients in the Cornwall, Ontario area.
This is a fun and energetic position where you will create a welcoming atmosphere, interact with guests and keep the evening entertaining from start to finish.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You should:
- Be comfortable speaking on a microphone in front of an audience
- Have previous experience speaking to or entertaining an audience
- Be friendly, outgoing and personable
- Have strong social skills and a good sense of humour
- Be comfortable interacting with groups of people
- Be reliable, professional and able to work independently
- Have a decent level of technical skills
- Have your own reliable vehicle
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
This is a sub-contractor position.
You will be required to provide:
- Two mobile laptops
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Spotify
- Google Slides
- Ruby Pub Trivia supplies the weekly trivia games, along with the other equipment and materials required to run the event.
TRAVEL
You will generally be assigned to venues within approximately 30 minutes of your home, although occasional additional travel may be required.
AVAILABILITY
Candidates who are available two or more evenings per week are preferred.
Trivia events are generally held on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, with Tuesday and Wednesday currently being the most common.
We currently have an immediate need for a TUESDAY EVENING HOST IN CORNWALL, ONTARIO.
PAID TRAINING PROVIDED
No previous trivia-hosting experience is necessary. Paid training is provided to successful candidates.
What matters most is that you are confident, personable, comfortable behind a microphone and able to have fun with a crowd.
ABOUT THE JOB
Our Hostmasters become the face of Ruby Pub Trivia at our partner restaurants. You will run the weekly game, interact with teams, keep the energy high and help create an evening that guests look forward to every week.
