JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for overseeing daily security and loss prevention operations, ensuring the safety of employees, customers, and company assets. The Security Supervisor enforces company policies and procedures, responds to incidents, conducts investigations, and supports operational leadership in maintaining a secure and compliant environment.

Primary Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to)

Ensure all team members adhere to established safety and security policies and procedures, including safety plans, robbery procedures, and first aid protocols.

Ensure all safety and security operations comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the Ontario Fire Code.

Identify, report, and assist in resolving safety hazards, violations, and risks that could result in asset loss.

Monitor and report issues related to life safety systems, including fire alarms, suppression systems, and equipment failures, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.

Conduct investigations, review surveillance footage, and provide detailed reports and findings to management.

Develop and manage team schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts and emergency callouts.

Ensure inventory and assets are secured across all areas of the business; partner with operations to mitigate potential losses.

Conduct performance reviews

Review and investigate loss prevention incidents and submit final reports to the Loss Prevention and Security Manager.

Manage and control access to facilities for authorized personnel.

Train, supervise, and evaluate team members to ensure performance standards are met.

Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and professionalism within the team.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain effective 24/7 security coverage for assigned locations.

Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Support operational goals while maintaining loss prevention standards.

Lead and develop team members in alignment with company expectations and core values.

Continuously improve safety, security, and loss prevention performance metrics.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
-
Minimum of 3 years of experience in security, loss prevention, or law enforcement.

Must be able to work in Canada and the United States with ability to cross the US/Canada border freely

Strong understanding of loss prevention practices, inventory control, and retail operations.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Organized, professional, and culturally aware.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Computer proficiency with internet access and Microsoft Office.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within Native American territories or Tribal communities.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while conducting patrols and monitoring facilities.

Ability to sit for prolonged periods when reviewing surveillance footage, completing reports, or performing administrative tasks.

Frequent movement throughout indoor and outdoor environments, including stairways, parking areas, warehouses, and office settings.

Ability to respond quickly to security incidents and emergency situations.

Capability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach to inspect areas, equipment, and access points.

Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of heavier items using team assistance or equipment as appropriate.

Ability to operate security equipment, computers, mobile devices, radios, and surveillance systems.

Sufficient visual acuity to review monitors, read reports, and observe activity clearly, both day and night.

Ability to hear and verbally communicate clearly in person and over radios or phones.

Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required for 24/7 operations.
