We are looking for a Contents Technician & Contents Crew Lead. A permanent full-time employment with a company serving BC communities for over 25 years. The right person for this role understands that behind every damaged home is a family waiting to get their life back. You are detail-oriented, hardworking, and the kind of person who never cuts corners because you know these aren't just things, they are someone’s life.
In this role, you will work on a variety of restoration jobs. The work requires careful focus and packing of insured belongings. It is a hands-on role where attention to detail, organization, and teamwork are very important.
What We Are Looking For
- Thoroughly clean smoke residue from contents and structures
- Pack contents with protection and care
- Follow established procedures for cleaning structures and handling customers’ possessions
- Perform detailed structure cleans and post-construction cleans to prepare homes for occupancy to exact standards
- Clean all types of flooring including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and hand scrubbing
- Process and clean contents in the warehouse using established techniques
- Maintain cleanliness at both office facilities and job sites
- Complete daily updates for every active claim in PSA and email
- Document inventory and non-restorable contents using Encircle (training provided)
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of restoration industry experience is considered an asset
- Previous work experience in a cleaning role
- Ability to work overtime for after-hours emergency work
- Ability to work well under pressure in difficult circumstances
- Strong communication skills (spoken and written)
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
- Ability to pass a criminal background check if required
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a clean driver’s abstract (required)
- Familiarity with basic technology such as cellphone use, Outlook email, and Encircle
Your First Few Weeks: What Onboarding Looks Like
We have supportive team culture and set every new team member up for success from day one and place strong emphasis on onboarding and training.
Week 1–2: Introduction & Orientation
Meet your team, tour our Delta facility, and get familiar with our systems including PSA, Encircle, and Outlook. You will work alongside crew members on pack-outs and warehouse non-restorable listings.
Week 2–3: Hands-On Training
Shadow experienced team members on live jobs to understand our quality standards. Begin assisting with documentation and daily claim updates with guidance. Experienced team members support new staff by sharing proper procedures and techniques that help build confidence in the role.
Week 3–5: Building Confidence
Team members take time to explain processes and demonstrate the correct way to perform tasks. You will begin taking on increasing responsibility in the field while receiving regular feedback and support from your supervisor.
Ongoing: Mentorship & Growth
Your manager will support your long-term development through regular performance discussions and access to further training opportunities that help you grow toward Team Lead roles.
On-Call Rotation – How It Works
Restoration doesn’t stop when the workday ends and neither do we.
Our on-call rotation ensures customers receive a rapid response when emergencies happen.
- On-call shifts are shared across the team on a rotating basis
- No single person carries the load
- When on call, you must be reachable by phone and respond within a defined timeframe
- After-hours callouts are compensated with overtime pay
- On-call schedules are provided in advance to allow planning of personal time
- Our dispatch team supports you throughout the process
