Company Overview:
Since 2003, Stormtec has been a trusted partner for general contractors, municipalities, industrial facility operators, and environmental consultants across Western Canada. We solve water management challenges with practical, reliable, and environmentally compliant solutions. Our reputation is built on working in our customers' best interest, delivering expert water management programs that keep project sites safe, compliant, and on budget.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a hands-on Senior Project Coordinator who will manage water management projects from start to finish, with ownership of client relationships and cross-functional coordination. You will oversee multiple projects with average monthly revenue under $7,500, while working closely with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, Sales, and Finance as the main coordination point for your projects. Unlike a standard Project Coordinator, the Senior PC owns their portfolio, leads client-facing meetings, and manages low- to mid-complexity projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and coordinate projects end-to-end from kick-off through demobilization, ensuring scope, timelines, and execution are aligned
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, leading meetings, managing communication, and maintaining strong relationships
- Monitor project performance by tracking progress, identifying risks, resolving issues, and escalating when needed
- Manage financials including invoicing, vendor billing, forecasting, and receivables, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project status
- Lead change order management by identifying scope changes, assessing costs, coordinating approvals, and updating project records
- Coordinate service requests and ongoing project needs with field teams and operations
- Maintain accurate project documentation, updates, and reporting across internal systems and PMO processes
- Support project close-out activities, including demobilization, compliance requirements, and capturing lessons learned
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of project coordination or customer relation experience in construction projects, environmental services, oil and gas, or similar industries
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office, with strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable vehicle for site meetings as needed
- CAPM certification, project budgeting/financial tracking experience, or technical training is an asset
In 6 Months, You Will Have:
- Managed a portion of projects independently (lower complexity)
- Built working relationships with key stakeholders
- Handled basic client communication and coordination tasks
- Gained exposure to financial tracking and project workflows
In 12 Months, You Will Have:
- Independently managed full project portfolio end-to-end
- Built strong client and cross-functional relationships
- Maintained accurate financials (invoicing, forecasting, AR)
- Proactively managed risks, changes, and project execution
