Job description

Banner Environmental Engineering Consultants Ltd. is currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to join our growing team. This will be a full time permanent position.

The successful applicant will work directly with the Banner design team of Engineers, Scientists and Technologists to support the water management of a large construction Project. This opportunity offers the successful applicant both a diverse work scope and highly professional working environment and is best tailored to a self-motivated, energetic individual who values the experience of working in a fast paced firm.

The position is based in Abbotsford, BC and will require shift work on a rotational schedule, with travel and accommodations provided.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaboration with other Project Engineers/Scientists, Operations Engineers and Project Managers to assist in the management, operation and monitoring of construction waters as well as water treatment designs, CAD drawings, calculations, modeling, construction planning, etc.
- Undertaking environmental assessments, field site surveys, water quality analysis, drawing development, as-built/record drawings and site inspections for Projects.
-Support of a myriad of Engineering Projects which focus primarily on Water, Wastewater and Stormwater Systems.
- Develop a strong knowledge of Banners standards, policies, procedures and workplace culture.

Qualifications / Requirements:

- Degree in relevant field (Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical)
- Previous work experience in Construction considered an asset
- Ability to operate Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience with ArcGIS considered an asset
- Ability to Survey considered an asset
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, solutions based, consulting Engineering environment with a focus on personal growth and willing to accept new and challenging assignments.
- Deliverable-based mind set considered an asset.
- Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude considered an asset.
- Willingness to travel; valid Class 5 Driver’s License, acceptable driving record
- A positive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$32.00 per hour
