Learning Potential Foundation is an Independent School (private ECS) looking for a Teacher who will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to plan and carry out the Kindergarten curriculum, programs, and support for the children in our ECS.
We collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop strategies, coach, and support team members in daily classroom plans. Collaborate to develop, implement, and evaluate Individual Program Plan (IPP) goals.
Learning Potential Foundation is an ECS provider with a head office in Airdrie, AB. We currently support children across multiple locations in Calgary, Airdrie, Carstairs, Didsbury, Olds & Area.
Current available positions:
1) Full Time ECS Coordinating Teacher position North of Airdrie for 2026-27 (includes Carstairs, Didsbury, Olds & Area)
We are looking for an AB Certified Teachers who will:
-be available full time
-ensure that classroom instruction and program delivery align with and exceed the requirements set out by Alberta Education for both Kindergarten and ECS programs
-directly collaborate with Preschools/Daycares, supporting them with educational programming and Individual Program Plan development for children who attend preschools and daycares (for Coordinating Teachers)
-work closely with other interdisciplinary team members to plan and implement creative, developmentally appropriate programming that meets the unique needs of the children who attend Learning Potential programs
-work directly with students to build relationships and work on IPP goals
Requirements:
- Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate (either Interim or Permanent)
- Experience working with children with special needs an asset
- Current Alberta driver’s license and access to a reliable personal vehicle (you may need to drive to multiple sites)
- Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff
- Strong communication, leadership, time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of special education and works comfortably with early learners from ages 2 ½ to 5 years
- Ability to work collaboratively on a team, as well as an ability to take initiative and work independently
Extensive knowledge of:
- Teaching Quality Standard
- Alberta Learning Curriculum for Kindergarten
- Health & Safety Guidelines for Child Care Facilities
- Tact, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-Level C certification
- Clearance from a Criminal Record check, including a Vulnerable Sector check, current within the last six months

Pay: $61,004.00-$107,120.00 per year
