Dinter Nursery Administrator

OVERVIEW

Reporting to the General Manager, the Administrator supports the Bookkeeper, Division Managers, and General Manager with division-specific and company-wide administrative processes. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, 5 days per week, year-round. Days of work are Monday to Friday. The responsibilities of the position are described below.

Responsibilities

Complete Daily Cash Reports.
Daily delivery coordination.
Ensure relevant import permits are procured and up to date.
Assist with inventory management.
Process employment applications, support employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
Assist with Gift Card transactions, website inventory uploads and social media questions.
Provide customer care support as needed by answering emails and responding to customer phone calls.
Maintain invoice paperwork flow and filing, assist with file organization and receiver files.
Assist with the POS receiving process.
Ensure office supplies are in stock, order new supplies as needed, e.g. printer toners, paper.
Ensure signs for weekly promotions are prepared and sale data entered into our POS system.
Run relevant reports for management as requested.
Support the organizing of company + customer events.
Provide assistance with a variety of tasks in the Nursery or Garden Center as needed.
General administrative duties (e.g. answering the phone, filing, organizing).

Skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong computer background; experience with POS systems and G-Suite preferred.
Strong organization and multi-tasking skills.
Adaptable and able to pivot in a fast paced and constantly changing retail environment.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with retail financial math concepts and use spreadsheets.
Ability to act with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Physicality: must be able to sit, stand, walk and assist with lifting packages.

Compensation

$20.00 - $21.00 per hour depending on experience.
