Description complète du poste

Coreslab Structures has been a leading precast concrete manufacturer and supplier in North America for over 50 years. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Project Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be the central link between our engineering department, manufacturing plant, logistics teams, and active construction sites. You will directly support Project Managers by tracking the lifecycle of precast concrete elements from initial design through to plant casting and final field installation.

The successful candidate will be a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented professional who can effectively coordinate multiple activities from design and procurement through production, shipping, and installation. The Project Coordinator must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and possess the communication, problem-solving, and follow-through skills required to keep projects moving forward, on budget, and meet critical deadlines.

Core Responsibilities and Duties

Project Coordination & Meetings: Attend project meetings, prepare, documents, and distribute clear, actionable meeting minutes to internal and external project stakeholders.
Project Management Support: Provide backup support to the Project Managers and act as a primary point of contact when the Project Manager is unavailable.
Shop Drawing Management: Coordinate the submission, review, revision, and approval of structural precast shop drawings, piece tickets, and related project documentation.
Requests for Information (RFIs): Prepare, issue, track, and distribute RFIs to resolve design conflicts, clarify project requirements, and prevent delays prior to the production phase.
Piece Log Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date piece logs for all precast elements, including design, revision, submission, and approval status.
Production Schedule Coordination: Create and monitor project schedules. Coordinate with the manufacturing plant to align production and casting schedules with required on-site delivery dates.
Hardware & Material Procurement: Coordinate the procurement, delivery, and availability of specialized hardware, reinforcing steel, embeds, and other materials required for precast production.
Quality Control Support: Work closely with the Quality Control team to verify that completed precast elements conform to approved shop drawings, project specifications, and structural requirements.
Shipping & Delivery Coordination: Coordinate shipping and delivery schedules with the internal scheduling department, transportation providers, and field installation teams to ensure timely delivery to site.
Transportation Permits: Coordinate with the scheduling department to obtain and maintain required transportation permits and approvals for oversized, overweight, or specialized loads.
Change Order Management: Identify and document changes to project scope, prepare pricing adjustments, and issue Change Order Requests (CCOs) and Change Orders (COs) to clients, general contractors, and subtrades in a timely manner.
Project Documentation: Maintain organized and accurate project records, correspondence, approvals, schedules, and other documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Professional Standards: Maintain a professional demeanor and uphold high standards of personal appearance, workplace organization, cleanliness, communication, and conduct.
Industry Knowledge: Remain informed of relevant construction regulations, environmental requirements, industry standards, economic conditions, and new products or technologies affecting the precast and construction industries.
Health & Safety: Follow all company health and safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations while working in construction sites, manufacturing facilities, and office environments.
Additional Responsibilities: Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support evolving project and business requirements.

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in Construction, Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field from a recognized college or university.
2–5 years of experience in construction, project coordination, project administration, or a related role is preferred.
Experience or training in project management software. (Microsoft Project, ProCore, AutoCAD Forma).
Direct experience with structural precast concrete, cast-in-place concrete, or architectural precast panels is highly preferred.
Solid understanding of basic construction practices, processes, terminology, and project documentation.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects, deadlines, and competing demands.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with office personnel, clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, plant personnel, and field teams.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving project issues.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage conflict professionally and contribute to effective conflict resolution.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding construction/manufacturing environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Valid Class G driver's licence and reliable means of transportation.
Ability to safely walk active construction sites, manufacturing facilities and lift up to 50 lbs. as required.
Working at Heights certification is preferred; candidates who do not currently hold the certification must be willing to obtain it within a specified period of employment.
Commitment to maintaining a strong safety culture and following all applicable workplace health and safety requirements.

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
