Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Supply Chain Expediter to join our team. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates interested in developing their expertise in the supply chain aspect of engineering projects from preliminary design, through to project turnover. This position also provides support for Supply Chain which interfaces with Document Control, Engineering, Supplier deliverables and reporting to all stakeholders. The successful candidate will support the timely delivery ensuring smooth workflows through effective coordination and communication within our supply chain network.
Duties
- Expediting document submittals and material and equipment deliveries for mechanical equipment, bulk piping & electrical goods, Electrical, Instrumentation and Control packages for multi-discipline engineered packages.
- Work closely with suppliers, engineers, and document control to facilitate timely submittal and return of vendor documents.
- Take the lead on weekly and biweekly vendor meetings.
- Prepare and distribute weekly expediting status reports for all active projects.
- Provide support to buyers during the RFQ bid, evaluation, and award process.
- Assist with shipping releases and coordination with site receivers and logistics.
- Expediting and progress reporting for Supplier Drawings, Manuals and Procedures, Material & Equipment Deliveries, placement of orders with Sub-Vendors, and preparation for delivery.
- Track and report on the status of all Purchase Orders from award through to final delivery ensuring all milestones are met and are on schedule.
- Proactively expediate and follow up on all aspects of the purchasing process with suppliers to schedule deliveries and resolve material discrepancies, outstanding or overdue deliveries, warranty claims, and return of materials.
- Work directly with Suppliers to expedite material orders; communicate delays and scheduling conflicts with the Project Team.
- Prepare expediting status reports and other ad hoc reports as requested.
- Ensure familiarity with vendor documentation requirements and ensure document management and lifecycle information requirements are being met.
- Develop, maintain and manage strong interpersonal relationships with clients, engineers, and contractors, with the ability to deal sensitively, tactfully, and diplomatically.

Requirements
- Expediting experience within the energy, oil and gas, industrial construction industries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- SCM certifications and designations are helpful, and beneficial, but not a requirement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint, Outlook Teams) and particularly Excel with an aptitude for learning new systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively as a team member.
- A motivated self-starter with high attention to detail and accuracy while working in a time-conscious and time-effective manner in a high-paced, multi-task environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills who are responsive and provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
Other requirements and information
- Valid class 5 driver’s license is Preferred.
