Reporting to the Shop Supervisor and/or Lead Hand Shipping Receiving, the Shipper/Receiver is responsible for unloading materials, preparing materials for shipping, filling work orders, and monitoring inventory.
Key Position Functions:
- Unload, sort, and inspect incoming material
- Prepare outgoing material for shipment
- Ensure proper paper work flow of Purchase Orders and packing slips
- Monitor and maintain strong inventory records
- Organize and maintain the work area; including maintenance of equipment, product storage containers, and racking
- Assist with wellhead assemblies (as required)
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to complete work duties
- Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures
- Participate in rotational on call schedule
- Assist with shop housekeeping and maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:
- High School Diploma
- 1 to 2 years of related shipping and receiving experience
- Strong computer skills with experience using SAP preferred
- Inventory management an asset
- Mechanical assembly/repair experience an asset
- Forklift experience is an asset
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Strong communication (oral and written), organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented, strong work ethic, and self-motivated
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Valid driver’s license
