Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Japanese Sushi Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive food industry knowledge, and a commitment to food safety and quality. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of service and hospitality are maintained.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standard
Oversee food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene compliance
Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain stock levels for smooth kitchen operations
Ensure all food served meets quality standards and customer expectations
Lead food service operations during peak hours, ensuring timely delivery of meals
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment
Collaborate with restaurant management to develop menus and special offerings
Uphold food safety regulations and industry best practices at all times

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
Excellent team management and leadership skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
Knowledge of the food industry trends and customer service excellence
Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is highly preferred
Demonstrated ability to serve high-quality meals consistently
Passion for culinary arts and hospitality with a focus on teamwork and leadership

Pay: $17.00-$25.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
