Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Marijuana Budtender to join our team at our Etobicoke location and or our Mississauga location. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, educate clients on product options, and ensure a positive shopping experience. This role requires a strong understanding of cannabis products, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Multilingual abilities, including English are highly valued to serve our diverse customer base. The Budtender will also assist with merchandising, inventory management, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting appropriate cannabis products based on their needs and preferences
- Educate customers on product effects, strains, consumption methods, and legal regulations
- Operate POS systems efficiently for cash handling, sales transactions, and inventory tracking
- Upsell products and promote new or featured items to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain accurate records through filing, computer operation, and Microsoft Office tools such as Excel
- Manage stock levels through merchandising, restocking shelves, and organizing displays
- Handle heavy lifting when necessary for inventory movement or stocking purposes
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving concerns promptly
- Uphold compliance with all legal regulations related to cannabis sales and store policies
- Assist with opening and closing procedures to ensure store security and cleanliness
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales, hospitality, or customer service roles
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in French or other languages is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems, computer operation, Microsoft Office (Excel), and basic math skills for cash handling and transactions
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required and stand for extended periods during shifts
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and inventory management
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment
- Multilingual capabilities enhance customer engagement across diverse clientele
- Knowledge of cannabis products, industry regulations, or previous experience as a Budtender is preferred.
- Cansell certificate is required
