Plumbing Helper – Full-Time
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Plumbing Helper to join our team in a full-time capacity. This role provides essential support to licensed plumbers and skilled tradespeople in residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and an interest in developing skills within the construction and plumbing industries. Duties
- Assist licensed plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems.
- Prepare work sites by gathering tools, materials, and equipment needed for projects.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, assemble, and install pipes and fixtures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support project execution.
- Measure and mark locations for pipe runs, fixtures, and other plumbing components using basic math skills.
- Support with welding, assembly, and fitting of plumbing components as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety standards are met.
- Follow safety protocols at all times when working around construction sites or with heavy equipment.
- Assist with troubleshooting issues by identifying potential problems using schematics or technical instructions.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on plumbing equipment and tools.
Experience
- Prior construction experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Mechanical knowledge including familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding, and basic maintenance is advantageous.
- Experience reading blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings is a plus.
- Knowledge of carpentry or HVAC systems can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during installation processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely around construction sites with adherence to safety guidelines.
