POSITION SUMMARY
Wood Buffalo Media Group is seeking an experienced and highly organized Brand Account Manager to join our growing team on a subcontract basis. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary bridge between our agency and our valued clients. You will be responsible for nurturing client relationships, overseeing the execution of diverse brand and marketing projects, and ensuring that every deliverable aligns with the client's strategic goals and our agency's high standards of quality and integrated excellence.The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment, possesses a strong understanding of brand management and modern marketing, and demonstrates respect for Métis cultural values and the McMurray Métis community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Brand Account Manager will handle a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring seamless operations and client satisfaction. Your key responsibilities include the following:
Client Relationship Management
You will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, building and maintaining strong professional relationships. You will act as the trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business objectives, market challenges, and growth aspirations. Regular communication and proactive outreach will be essential to supporting their ongoing needs.
Strategic Planning & Meetings
You will lead regular strategy meetings to align agency efforts with client objectives. These meetings will involve reviewing performance, discussing upcoming initiatives, and identifying opportunities for service expansion and account growth. You will prepare professional communications and reports for clients, ensuring clarity and transparency in all agency-client interactions.
Project Management & Execution
You will manage end-to-end project workflows by collaborating with internal teams, including Graphic Design, Web Development, Video Production, and Advertising. You will ensure all projects are completed on time and within scope, maintaining detailed project timelines and status updates. Your organizational skills will be critical in managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Brand & Campaign Oversight
You will help guide client brand strategy and ensure consistency across all touchpoints and deliverables. You will coordinate social media, advertising, and content initiatives with our internal team and subcontractors, ensuring the work reflects each client's brand and goals.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
You will track key performance indicators (KPIs) for all assigned accounts and prepare comprehensive monthly or quarterly reports. These reports will include performance, insights, recommendations for optimization, and opportunities for growth. You will provide regular updates to the Director of Marketing regarding account status, project progress, and client feedback.
Account Growth & Expansion
You will identify opportunities for account growth and service expansion. This includes recognizing when clients would benefit from additional services (such as video production, photography, web, or expanded advertising), and presenting these opportunities in a consultative manner that prioritizes client success.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Experience
A minimum of 4 years of experience in marketing, communications, account management, or a related field is required. Agency experience is strongly preferred, as it demonstrates familiarity with managing multiple clients and coordinating cross-functional teams. You should have a proven track record of building strong client relationships and delivering results.
Communication Skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required. You must be able to present brand and marketing ideas clearly and professionally to both internal teams and clients. Strong listening skills and the ability to ask clarifying questions will be essential to understanding client needs and ensuring alignment.
Technical Proficiency
Familiarity with social media management tools (such as Meta Business Suite), digital advertising platforms, and project management software (such as ClickUp or similar) is required. You should be comfortable learning new tools quickly.
Cultural Competency

Organizational Skills
You must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational systems are essential.
Education
A degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an asset. However, equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
