Kandor Management Corp is a facility management company providing security guard services, commercial cleaning and janitorial services, and security technician solutions to clients across the region. Our proposals are how we win the contracts that grow our business, and you'll have a direct line of sight from your writing to the wins it creates.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop and write clear, persuasive, and compliant proposal content for RFP, RFQ, and proposal pursuits.
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts to translate technical, operational, and financial concepts into concise, client-focused narratives.
- Integrate win themes, differentiators, and client priorities to align every submission with our pursuit strategy.
- Lead the full proposal lifecycle — from reviewing requirements and joining kick-off sessions through writing, coordination, and on-time submission.
- Prepare and edit executive summaries, methodologies, scopes of work, project references, and resumes.
- Review RFP/RFQ requirements to ensure full compliance and strengthen our competitive positioning.
- Maintain proposal content libraries and templates, keeping narratives accurate, current, and on-brand.
- Adapt content for related uses such as case studies, methodology statements, and marketing materials.
- Partner with designers and stakeholders to deliver polished, on-brand submissions on schedule.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in proposal writing or coordination (construction, facilities, or professional services preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing, and quality-assurance skills with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and persuasive messaging.
- Ability to interpret technical information and communicate it clearly to varied audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure, managing competing priorities without compromising quality.
- Proactive and self-directed — you take ownership and anticipate needs before they arise.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook).
Preferred Assets
- Experience with proposal management, compliance tracking, or AI-assisted writing tools.
- Familiarity with layout/design software (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Illustrator).
- Background in grant or technical writing, or experience with construction subcontractors.
