Overview

We are seeking a professional and organized evening based Medical Receptionist/Administrator to join our physiotherapy and massage therapy team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, manage administrative tasks efficiently, and ensure smooth operation of the front desk. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic medical or dental office environment, providing essential support to healthcare providers and patients alike. Candidates with experience in medical or physiotherapy office settings, familiarity with electronic medical records, and strong office skills are highly preferred.

Duties

Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately using systems like Practice Perfect and Quickbooks
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments efficiently
Collect patient payments and process insurance claims as needed
Maintain organized front desk operations and ensure the waiting area is tidy and welcoming
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations and confidentiality standards
Support other administrative functions as required by the practice

Skills

Proven experience as a Physiotherapy Receptionist or Medical Office Administrator with familiarity in dental or medical office workflows
Proficiency in electronic health record systems such as Epic and Dentrix
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards
Excellent communication skills for managing front desk interactions via multi-line phone systems
Ability to handle administrative responsibilities with attention to detail and accuracy
Demonstrated organizational skills to manage scheduling, billing, and patient information effectively
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
