Duties
- Set up, calibrate, and operate CNC laser cutting machines to produce precise cuts.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser cutting equipment to maximize uptime and efficiency.
- Use hand tools, calipers, and other measuring devices for quality inspection and verification of finished parts.
- Assist with material handling using cranes, forklifts, or other lifting equipment to load raw materials and unload finished products safely.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize cutting processes, improve workflow, and maintain safety standards across the manufacturing floor.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process to ensure parts meet specifications and standards before final assembly or shipment.
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines.
- Familiarity with CNC programming and setup procedures for laser cutters or other machining equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in welding, machining, or manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and utilize measurement tools like calipers for quality control.
- Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements.
- Experience with hand tools, assembly processes, and quality inspection techniques is a plus.
- Certifications in forklift driving are advantageous but not mandatory; safety training is essential.
