Sales Agronomist – Gleichen, AB
Paterson Grain is looking for a driven, relationship-focused Sales Agronomist to take ownership of a key territory and help expand our presence in the region. Responsibilities
This role sits at the intersection of sales, agronomy, and business development.
· Manage and grow a customer portfolio by building strong, trusted relationships with producers
· Drive revenue by identifying opportunities, cross-selling inputs, and expanding market share
· Deliver high-quality agronomic advice that translates into real on-farm results and repeat business
· Develop and execute territory plans, including sales targets, forecasting, and growth strategies
· Position and promote new products and innovations in collaboration with suppliers
· Act as a key advisor and partner to your customers helping them make confident, profitable decisions
· Support operational and team initiatives alongside the Location Manager
Qualifications
· Professional designation (P.Ag or CCA)
· Degree or diploma in Agriculture (or strong equivalent experience)
· 2–3+ years in sales agronomy or a similar customer-facing ag role
· A natural ability to build relationships and influence decisions
· Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
· A proactive, optimistic, and competitive mindset
· Experience with Microsoft Office (Tronia is an asset)
