NOT HIRING A TESTER- ONLY A PIPE LAYER / INSTALLER FOR NEW RESIDENTIAL SERVICE
Wages will be based on experience and knowledge of Laying pipes and connecting to Town Water & Sewer Installation, Grading and Connections
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pipe Layer / Grader to join our construction and heavy equipment operation team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy machinery, with a strong understanding of construction site requirements. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects involving WATER & SEWER LAYING AND CONNECTION TO TOWN SERVICES, excavation, and site grading, contributing to the successful completion of infrastructure development. Candidates with knowledge of equipment, as well as skills in dozer, loader, backhoe, and excavator operation, are highly preferred. The position requires a focus on safety, precision, and efficiency to ensure high-quality results.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machines to level and prepare surfaces for construction projects
- Assist with excavation tasks using excavators, loaders as needed
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Support operations by ensuring proper grading and surface smoothness
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans efficiently and safely
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic repairs when necessary
- Operate equipment safely and effectively as well as perform physical work as required
- Maintain accurate work performed and equipment usage
Qualifications
MUST SPEAK FLUENT ENGLISH FOR COMMUNICATION, knowledge of INSTALLATION OF TOWN WATER AND SEWER INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION( This is a must)
- Proven experience operating machinery in a construction environment
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in operating loaders, skid steers, excavators, and dump truck
- Experience with equipment is highly desirable
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) DZLicense a must, with at least 3 years experience preferred for driving heavy machinery or transport vehicles
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and procedures
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Prior experience in water and sewer installation and connection to town services is a must for projects, site grading is a plus
