Bilingualism (English/French) is required. This position supports fundraising, donor stewardship, grant administration, and community engagement activities across diverse communities and partnerships. The successful candidate must be able to communicate professionally and effectively, both orally and in writing, in English and French.

Job Summary:
The Fundraising & Development Coordinator plays a key role in helping OCOF/Nena grow its impact across the Manitoulin Sudbury District. Working with donors, funders, sponsors, community partners, and stakeholders in both English and French, this position supports donor stewardship, grant administration, sponsorship development, community engagement, fundraising events, and operational coordination that strengthens the resources that support children, families, and communities.

Qualifications & SKILLS:
1. Education & Certificates
· Post-secondary degree or diploma in Fundraising, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Non-Profit Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
· Current Satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters check (or willingness to obtain)
· Valid Ontario class “G” driver’s license, with a clear driver’s abstract and access to a reliable vehicle (required).
2. Experience
· Minimum three (3) years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, grant administration, event coordination, community engagement, communications or a related coordination role.
· Experience supporting grant applications, fundraising initiatives, sponsorship activities, or community engagement efforts is considered an asset.
3. Skills
· Fluency in both English and French, oral and written (required).
· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
· Strong organizational, planning, and project coordination abilities.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
· Strong attention to detail and record management skills.
· Experience using Microsoft Office and database or CRM systems.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
· Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Additional considerations:
· A valid Ontario “G” driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are required. Regular travel within the service area is required to support fundraising activities, donor engagement, community partnerships, meetings, and organizational initiatives.
· Flexibility to attend occasional evening and weekend events, meetings, and fundraising activities.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and competing deadlines.
· Combination of office-based work, community engagement activities, event participation, and travel throughout the service area.
· Duties may evolve according to organizational priorities and fundraising objectives.
