Detail Summary:
General working hours: Mon-Friday 8am- 4:30pm however with any position, you are required to support the companies needs by getting the job completed which may entail occasional overtime during the week and on weekends.

You must successfully pass a Police background check for controlled goods program, pass security clearance for ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulation) and always maintain a valid passport and driver’s license.
Major Responsibilities:
· Receive/Review project and product design requirements from Project Engineering.
· Complete concept design and submit for review.
· Complete detail design and submit for approval and release:
o Bill of Materials
o Schematic Drawings
o Design calculations
· Complete Project/Product documentation and submit for approval.
· Ability to write software for PLCs, CNCs and peripherals.
· Ability to program industrial robots for machine integration (Kuka, ABB, Fanuc, and MotoMan).
· Demonstrate integrity in all working relationships.
· Communicate and cooperate with all other departments in the organization.
· Checking all machine electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems and components prior to machine shipment
· Verifying alignment of all mechanical components (e.g., robots, tables and fixtures) according to required specifications using laser equipment where required
· Training customer personnel in machine operation and maintenance
· Communications with customer both verbally and/or in writing
· Participate in the creation of Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), Site Acceptance Tests (SATs) & Performance Acceptance Tests.
· Ensure Electrical fabrication meets local codes: CSA, UL, CE and other International Standards
· Good electrical aptitude and familiarity with machine controls design
· Ability to apply electrical engineering standards and techniques
· Strong communication skills
· Knowledge of pneumatics
· Required to travel domestic and/or international travel as required
· CNC controls—Allen Bradley, Fanuc, Siemens
· PLC and SLC controls
· Electrical troubleshooting skills
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in industrial automation, CNC programming, and robotics.
- Proven leadership experience in managing engineering teams or technical projects.
- Strong background in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or as an Industrial Electrician.
- Solid understanding of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial communication protocols.
- Hands-on experience with machine wiring, sensors, and control panels.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Current professional certification (e.g., P.Eng., CET, Red Seal) and membership in a recognized engineering or technical association (e.g., PEO, OACETT, IEEE) preferred.
