Key Responsibilities
Finance Leadership
Lead the Canadian finance team through a multi-entity monthly close in accordance with US GAAP
Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and financial accuracy
Partner with leadership to develop annual budgets and forecasts
Deliver monthly and quarterly reporting, including financial statements, job costing, and rolling forecasts
Analyze variances, develop forecasts, and provide actionable insights
Identify and track key business KPIs to drive performance
Support treasury activities and cash management
Oversee national payroll processing, ensuring compliance and efficiency
HR, Compliance & Operations
Act as the key liaison with HR, supporting culture, policies, and employee programs
Lead compliance efforts across the Canadian operations
Manage relationships with external legal, tax, and regulatory partners
Oversee risk management, insurance programs, and workplace safety initiatives
M& A & Strategic Growth
Support end-to-end M& A activities, including evaluation, diligence, and integration
Lead financial and operational integration of acquired entities
Provide strategic insights to guide business growth and decision-making

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
CPA designation
10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
Experience in multi-entity and/or multi-location environments
Construction or manufacturing experience (with a focus on job costing)
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, Canadian tax, and regulatory requirements
Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
M& A experience, specifically, post-acquisition integration, is a strong asset
Skills & Competencies
Hands-on, collaborative leadership style with a strong onsite presence
Ability to translate financial data into clear business insights and strategy
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
