Position Summary
The Provisioner plays a critical role in delivering a seamless customer experience by coordinating and completing a variety of activities required to deploy, modify, and maintain services on the Wightman network. This role is responsible for a range of provisioning functions, including service dispatch coordination, locate requests, local service requests (LSRs), third-party provider follow-up, and port assignments.
Working closely with internal teams, external service providers, and other stakeholders, the Provisioner ensures that all activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established processes and procedures. Strong communication, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach are essential to success in this role.
The Provisioner is also responsible for generating, maintaining, and updating customer, network topology, and configuration records to ensure operational systems accurately reflect deployed services and infrastructure. Through the quality and accuracy of their work, the Provisioner helps ensure a positive customer experience and supports the successful delivery of Wightman's services.
What you’ll do
· Complete provisioning activities across multiple service disciplines by following established processes, procedures, and documentation. Responsibilities may include processing copper loop requests, coordinating locate requests, managing and escalating third-party service tickets, completing port assignments, and maintaining dispatch schedules.
· Maintain accurate and complete records by creating, updating, and reviewing provisioning documentation in accordance with departmental standards.
· Support internal stakeholders by completing provisioning-related tasks that enable the successful delivery, maintenance, and support of customer services.
· Communicate proactively with customers, internal teams, and external service providers by providing timely status updates and responding to inquiries as required.
· Investigate and validate service request rejections, order discrepancies, and billing inconsistencies, escalating issues when appropriate.
· Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of Provisioning Knowledge Base documentation by submitting updates and identifying opportunities to enhance processes and procedures.
· Collaborate effectively as a member of the Provisioning team, sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and contributing to a positive and customer-focused work environment.
· Perform other departmental responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

· High school diploma required; post-secondary education in a related field is considered an asset.
· Previous telecommunications provisioning experience is considered an asset.
· Experience working with technical systems, databases, or service management tools is considered an asset.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
· Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends
· Able to sit for long periods of time
· Ability to work with minimal supervision
