Position Overview
Kamen Landscape Supplies is seeking a part-time Seasonal Landscape Associates to join our team during our busy season! This position is best suited for individuals with a background in landscape materials, hardscape/softscape products, and customer-facing sales environments.
The ideal candidate is confident working in a fast-paced yard and retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with product selection, quantities, and general inquiries
- Accurately process sales transactions using Point of Sales and third-party software
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on aggregates, pavers, retaining walls, soil, lumber and other landscape products and materials - become well versed in the products we carry
- Assist with inventory organization, restocking, and general yard/retail upkeep
- Maintain a clean, organized sales and checkout area
- Support customers with loading materials into vehicles when/if required
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational and customer service goals
- Complete required product knowledge and software training to ensure accurate customer guidance
Required Experience & Qualifications
Please note: applicants who do not meet the minimum experience requirements will not be considered.
- Minimum 2 years of sales associate and/or front desk experience in a retail, construction supply, or similar environment
- 2 years of hands-on experience in hardscape and/or softscape landscaping is an asset
- Strong working knowledge of: pavers, retaining wall systems, aggregates, soils, lumber, vinyl fencing, decking, concrete products, artificial turf, sod, material calculation, coverage and basic job estimation is an asset.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively in a high-volume environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to quickly learn and apply product knowledge
- Ability to quickly learn software systems
- Physically capable of assisting with loading materials as needed
