Be the calm after the storm. Join a passionate team that helps people rebuild their lives after disaster strikes. As a Cleaner / Packer, you’ll play a hands-on role in restoring personal and commercial belongings with precision, empathy, and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pack, catalog, and clean contents from disaster-affected areas
- Perform pre/post-construction and structural cleaning
- Clean fabrics, textiles, and various surfaces
- Use Encircle Restoration Software for inventory
- Cross training in demolition and painting and other departments
- Work locally and out of town
What you bring:
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Physically fit, capable of heavy lifting and safety-conscious
- Tech-savvy (comfortable using apps/software)
- Capable of working locally and out of town
- Valid driver’s license and clean abstract
- Clear criminal record
- English proficiency, written and spoken

Of Note:
Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement. Meaning you’ll work regular weekday hours and participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.

- Do you have any experience with demolition and/or painting?
Helping other departments is common—are you comfortable assisting in areas outside your primary role?
- Are you skilled with hand tools? Please explain your level of experience and any relevant examples
- Please tell us about your cleaning and packing experience, and why you believe you would be the best person for this job. Include any relevant experience with flood or fire damage restoration, as well as pre- and post-construction cleaning.
- Do you consider yourself to be tech savvy? This position is 80% paperless and operating software, phones, tablets, etc will be mandatory.
- Are you interested in growing with the company and opportunities for advancement? This position will consist of active learning and evolving and working towards building a career.
- Are you physically fit? Can you lift 50lbs and walk upstairs when required? Are you capable of repetitive heavy lifting? Moving furniture and boxes are the norm in this position so being physically capable is a requirement.
- Restoration work can be dirty. Flooded basements and sewer backups are the norm. Are you able and willing to work in these conditions?
- Are you able to work a Rotating On-Call Schedule?
This is additional to scheduled daytime hours. We are disaster relief so there is an Emergency On-Call requirement for all employees. Overtime and premium are paid.
- Are you a good communicator? This job requires in-depth discussions with homeowners and co-workers. Being patient, clear and calm is a must: especially when a homeowner is in distress.

Experience:
