Target Salary Range: $57,000- $65,000

Scope of Position
The Treasury Analyst is responsible for tracking and analyzing funding and liquidity, derivatives, investments, and loan portfolio movements. Additionally, they are expected to assist with portfolio management, maintenance of interest rates, supporting the financial & regulatory reporting team, and other related duties.
Major Responsibilities
Funding and Liquidity Analysis
- Gather relevant financial data and model near-term liquidity position and forecasts
- Evaluate and compare the accuracy of the results and investigate any discrepancies
- Analyze and provide recommended actions to reduce risk and meet liquidity requirements
- Support the daily monitoring of cash flows and balances
Derivatives & Investment Reporting
- Gather and analyze financial data in order to calculate cash flows and mark to market value of financial instruments
- Process settlements for investments and derivatives
Interest Rate Maintenance
- Analyze and report on interest rates
- Perform daily rate scans of competitive landscape
- Assist in gathering relevant data to support pricing decisions
- Analyze profitability on products
- Support the updating of rates on internal systems and with external partners
Internal Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly internal reporting package
- Track Key Risk Indicators on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested
- Update, analyze, and report on the Treasury dashboards
Strategic & Process Improvement
- Ongoing review and analysis of current processes with process improvement recommendations provided to Manager
- Participate in treasury automation projects as assigned
Other
- Support audit activities as requested
- Ad-hoc support to the securitization and cash management groups as needed
- General query management related to any of the above-mentioned functions
Education / Certifications / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance field (required)
- Designated or working towards CPA/CFA or other financial professional designation (preferred).
- Knowledge of GAAP reporting experience in public companies and/or financial institutions;
- 2-3 years’ experience in a Treasury, Trading or Financial reporting role(s) considered an asset
- Excellent computer skills (office and external software)
- Knowledge of IFRS
- Knowledge of capital markets, money markets, foreign exchange markets and financial derivatives
