Norelco Cabinets Ltd. is a locally owned and operated cabinet manufacturing company proudly serving the industry since 1972. We are looking for a dependable and physically capable Delivery Driver / Cabinet Mover to join our team full-time.
This is a hands-on position focused on the safe loading, transportation, delivery, and unloading of finished cabinetry and related materials. The role is similar to furniture moving and delivery work and requires someone who is comfortable handling large, heavy, and high-value finished products with care.
Position Summary
As a Delivery Driver / Cabinet Mover, you will work with our shipping team to prepare cabinetry for delivery, load trucks safely, transport products to job sites, and unload cabinetry upon arrival.
Our cabinetry is a finished product, so careful handling is extremely important. The successful candidate will be physically fit, dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable driving larger delivery vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive company 1-ton and/or 5-ton moving vans/trucks to deliver cabinetry and related materials to job sites
- Safely load and unload cabinets, millwork, countertops, hardware, and other materials
- Carry and move large, heavy, and sometimes awkward cabinetry without damaging the product
- Properly secure loads to prevent shifting or damage during transportation
- Protect finished cabinetry during loading, transportation, and unloading
- Verify products and materials against shipping documents and delivery paperwork
- Assist with organizing and staging cabinetry for upcoming deliveries
- Complete required delivery and shipping documentation accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe truck and shipping area
- Work closely with other team members when moving and handling oversized or heavy items
- Follow company safety procedures and safe lifting practices
- Represent Norelco professionally when making deliveries to customer homes, construction sites, and other locations
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a clean driving record
- Comfortable and experienced driving larger vehicles; 1-ton and/or 5-ton moving van/truck experience is an asset
- Previous experience in furniture moving, furniture delivery, appliance delivery, cabinetry delivery, construction delivery, or a similar physically demanding role is preferred
- Physically capable of repetitive lifting, carrying, pushing, and moving throughout the workday
- Able to safely lift and handle items weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Comfortable working as part of a two-person or team lift when handling larger cabinetry
- Able to safely use moving equipment such as dollies, carts, straps, blankets, and other material-handling equipment
- Able to read and understand shipping documents, work orders, and delivery paperwork
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing and delivery environment
- Steel-toed safety boots are required
